Louvre Tour

It's certainly worth it to look Mona Lisa in the eye for at least once in your life. And there is so much more to discover in the Louvre. But how do you start with such a gigantic collection? Orsay Tour

Maybe the most beautiful museum in Paris (and the rest of the world). Even if you don't like art, this impressive building is worth a visit. 100 years ago it was a train station. Since 1986, it has housed the largest collection of Impressionism: Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh, Degas, Cézanne, Gaugain, Seurat, Toulouse-Lautrec… you find their works here. But there is more: unique Art Nouveau interior, sculptures by Rodin and even a polar bear by Pompon. And through the pointers of the station clock you see Paris with the Sacre Coeur on the hill of Montmartre. Worth visiting at least once in your life.

Combination: Montmartre + Musee d'Orsay

Complete your Orsay experience. Paris Promenade loves art and culture. And what could be better than the ultimate combination of Montmartre and Musée d'Orsay! We first walk through the impressionistic Montmartre. Masters as Van Gogh, Renoir and Toulouse Lautrec lived, worked and partied in this district. Afterwards, we'll take a look at the impressionist gems in the most beautiful museum in Paris. If you want to we love to give you more explanation about some highlights of the collection.

Architectonic Bourgeois tour 19th century

 

 In the 19th century Paris was on its highest point. In particular in the 8th district. Think of the wide boulevards of Haussmann, the beautiful apartment buildings, but also the luxurious private mansions (hôtels particuliers). We surround ourselves with the rich cultural life of the bourgeois – full with architecture, art and nature. A tour full of picture spots in the Paris you haven't seen before.

•  This walk is recommended for those who know Paris quiet well, but want to discover a less known and calmer part of the city

• We walk through the hidden luxury of the 8th district (Malesherbes) 

• We pass the pretty parc Monceau, Saint-Augustin church, oldest train station Saint-Lazare, Galerie Lafayette. 

•  We pass several Haussmanian mansions with impressive fronts and extraordinary stories. 

• Duration of the tour: 1.5 to 2 hours 

Tour de Romantique

A gem of a tour. We soak up the atmosphere from the Romantic period to the Belle Époque (1815-1914). Paris at its peak. We walk through Nouvelles Athènes, a new-build district in the 1820s and 1830s including charming mansions. In the 19th century this was a true artists' colony. Délacroix, Gustave Moreau, Chopin and Georges Sand left their mark here.

•  We walk through the hidden luxury of the 9th district (Nouvelle Athènes) 

• We pass several mansions, such as the Musée de la Vie Romantique and the beautiful atelier of Gustave Moreau (if possible we also take a look inside.) 

• Duration of the tour: 1.5 to 2 hours (not possible on Monday and Tuesday)
